| I have always enjoyed painting and started as a kid doing “artex” painting on clothing in a 4-H class and also paint by number sets. I didn’t go to school for art, so I am mainly self taught outside of taking a handful of oil painting night classes in high school and one semester in watercolors while I was in Nursing school. Fast forward about 5 decades to my current status as solo artist and owner of Blue Pick Art Studio; named after my deceased guitar playing son Ivan. He encouraged me to pursue my art more and even took an archaic oil painting of mine from the attic and put it on his bedroom wall. It is therapeutic now for me to paint and feel the calming presence of his Spirit beside me. | ||||||||||||||
